Dear 5849376,

Today is the day – and it's going to be huge. Activists from coast to coast, in over a hundred communities and in every state, will rally to tell President Obama to reject the Keystone XL pipeline.

With Friday's Nebraska Supreme Court ruling, President Obama can't delay anymore. A decision is coming soon on the Keystone XL pipeline, and we have to make sure he rejects it.

There's a rally near you – I hope you'll join other activists from CREDO, 350, Rainforest Action Network, Sierra Club and many more in the streets today.

What: Rally to urge President Obama to reject Keystone XL – now!
When: Today, Tuesday, January 13
Where: Your community

As the Republican Congress increases pressure on the president to force an approval, this is an all-hands-on-deck moment to show President Obama our powerful grassroots opposition.

Now that Republicans control the Senate, even if the president rejects the pipeline, they will try to force approval again and again and again. In fact, the House voted on Friday to force approval on a bill the president has already declared he would veto because it falls outside of the National Interest Determination process – which the Nebraska decision now restarts.

Regardless of what the fossil fuel industry is able to ram through Congress, the next step in our fight to stop this dirty tar sands oil pipeline is for the president to finally declare that it is not in our national interest.

Grassroots activism, including the nearly 100,000 activists who pledged to risk arrest if President Obama approves the pipeline, has repeatedly thwarted the fossil fuel industry's attempts to ram through Keystone XL. Now we have to push President Obama to reject it outright.

Rapid-response grassroots protest vigils sent a powerful message to the president last year after the State Department released it's terrible final environmental evaluation. Now it's time to urge him to reject it outright, and immediately.

Thank you for fighting to stop the Keystone XL pipeline.
