Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell?

Dear 5849376,

Save the Senate

Here's what we can expect to pass the Senate if it's controlled by Tea Party Republicans and led by current Minority Leader Mitch McConnell:

A Tea Party budget that slashes Social Security and ends Medicare as we know it, full repeal of the Affordable Care Act, a gutting of the EPA and Clean Air Act, and countless attacks restricting women's access to birth control and reproductive health care.

If McConnell and other Tea Party Republicans succeed at taking control of the Senate in 2014, there will be nothing to stop these attacks from getting to the president's desk -- where they could be used as leverage to force painful cuts or compromises by the White House, or become the law of the land.

We can stop a Tea Party Republican takeover of the Senate. We defeated Tea Party Republicans in 2012, and we can do it again. But it will take a massive grassroots campaign that will take months to build, and can't be built without your help.

Please take this quick survey to tell us how you're thinking about the 2014 election and what you are -- or aren't -- interested in helping with as we consider how best to engage our activists in this campaign to Save the Senate.

Mitch McConnell and the Tea Party Republicans only need to gain six seats to take control of the Senate -- but they are threatening in as many as a dozen states. The Washington Post recently put the chance of Republicans seizing control of the Senate at a scary 77%.1

We know the most effective way to hold the line: Research has proven that grassroots organizing, and specifically volunteer-to-voter contacts at the door and over the phone, are among the most cost-effective ways to move voters to the polls.

That can make the difference in close contests like Mitch McConnell's race in Kentucky, where the three most recent polls have McConnell and his Democratic challenger in a dead heat.

And it can make the difference between Mitch McConnell being in the driver's seat of the Senate -- or maintaining our firewall to stop radical Republican attacks in Congress, and hopefully retiring Mitch McConnell in the process.

This race to Save the Senate is too important for CREDO SuperPAC to sit on the sidelines. So we've already hired 30 field staff who will be trained next week, and hit the ground in the second week of June to start mobilizing local volunteers in Kentucky, Georgia, Colorado, North Carolina and Michigan.

Please share your input now on the 2014 election and CREDO SuperPAC's campaign to Save the Senate.

As progressives going up against corporate-backed Tea Party Republicans, we value these tactics not just because they are the most effective way to move voters at the lowest cost. Building grassroots power is what's going to help us take our country back from the Koch brothers and the corporate interests who are taking over our democratic institutions.

Thanks for fighting back against Tea Party Republican extremists.
