Dear 5849376,

The National Climate Assessment released last week was the clearest warning yet by President Obama that climate change is already here and already dramatically affecting everyone in our country, in far reaching ways.

Now the President's actions must match these facts on the ground.

Next Saturday, our friends at the Sierra Club along with the Hands Across the Sands coalition, are planning a national day of action to urge President Obama to reject Keystone XL and stop offshore drilling and other destructive projects which make climate change worse.

There's an event near you - can you be there? Click here to find the even near you and RSVP.

President Obama is increasingly calling attention to the escalating danger of climate change in his second term.

But even as he issues these warnings, his administration is moving ahead with more of the same destructive projects that have gotten us here.

If the president is serious about making a change, he must take us off the path of allowing massive expansion of fracking, new risky offshore drilling in the arctic, foreign exports of coal, natural gas or tar sands, and he must finally reject the Keystone XL pipeline.

Join people across the country on Saturday to make sure President Obama gets the message.

Thanks for taking action
