An easy way to reach Rep. Latham about Syria

CREDO action
Use Facebook and Twitter to tell your representative to vote against war with Syria

Facebook and Twitter are great ways to directly reach your representative, and many members of Congress and their staff watch their accounts for constituents' feedback. We can use this direct line of contact to send an important message about stopping a war with Syria.

Dear 5849376,

Don't bomb Syria.

The tide is turning against American military intervention in Syria. Here's a simple thing we can do to strengthen the opposition to war with Syria.

We know that members of Congress are personally invested in the feedback they receive on Facebook and Twitter. And messages you send directly via social media will stand a great chance of getting noticed. Even if your representative already opposes the war, he needs to hear supportive messages on social media from his constituents.

Sending a Facebook or Twitter message is easy. Can you take a minute to send a message to Rep. Tom Latham?

To post a message on Facebook, use the link below to go to Rep. Latham's Facebook page, and look for the "Post" box. Write a personal message explaining why you don't think we should bomb Syria. Then click the "Post" button to send your message.

Make sure you clearly state that you're a constituent and that you want your representative to vote against bombing Syria. Unique messages are best! Here's an example:

Remember to be firm, brief, and courteous. Ranting, swearing, or name-calling won't help.

(If your representative doesn't allow posts on his page, click here to make a call instead.)

If you're on Twitter, please also tweet at @TomLatham. Be sure to insert #DontBombSyria at the end of the message.

For an easy way to do that, use the link below to go to Rep. Latham's Twitter page. Click the box on the left that says "Tweet to…" and input your message. Then click the "Tweet" button to send your message.
