Deadline tomorrow: Take Down the Tea Party Ten. (And Stephen Colbert.)

Friend -

The Supreme Court might have dashed Tea Party hopes by upholding the healthcare law — but it also energized extremists like Allen West and Joe Walsh and Chip Cravaack to keep waging their war on women's health. And the environment. And equal rights. And Social Security.

So yesterday when the ruling came down, I was glad to be at the Take Down Allen West office in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, meeting with our field organizers about our big voter contact phonebank this weekend.

We can't let these guys keep their hold on Congress. No matter how fired up they get.

Tomorrow is the FEC fundraising deadline. And we need your help today, because how much we report actually matters.

Chip in $5 before the deadline.

Most SuperPACs don't worry about the FEC deadlines, because most SuperPACs aren't powered by grassroots activists.

The Karl Rove-backed American Crossroads is taking in millions of dollars in anonymous money — and it doesn't matter when it comes.

But the media, and Tea Party extremists like West and Walsh and Cravaack, are actually watching our fundraising, because this is a different kind of SuperPAC — the kind that will only succeed if enough people support it.

Our fundraising recently passed Stephen Colbert's SuperPAC to become the largest grassroots-powered SuperPAC in America.

Over the last six months, more than 38,000 people have donated more than 1.3 million dollars. (And we did it without a TV show!) But to pay for our ten-district, volunteer-powered field campaign through November, we need to more than double what we've already raised. And we only have four months left to do it.

When our fundraising report is released, the media will be looking to see how much we beat Colbert by, and Tea Party extremists will be looking to gauge what they are up against. It will be sweet to beat Colbert. But it will be a lot sweeter to take down some of the worst Tea Party Republicans in Congress.

Chip in $5 before the deadline to help make it happen.

Thanks for standing with us,
