Saturday, May 5 at 11:45 a.m.: Connect the Dots in Ames Hi Friend, On May 5th, thousands of people around the world will join together to stand up for the communities on the front lines of the climate crisis. Rep. Steve King probably won't be there. After all, last year he voted to deny that climate change even exists.1 We'll be there. Because we know that climate change not only exists, it affects all of us. Here in Ames, we've faced multiple "100-year" and "500-year" floods in just the past 20 years. It's time to take a stand. Join us on May 5th to add your photo to the petition to the U.N. demanding action to stop climate change. After hearing from event organizer Rivka Fidel and CREDO SuperPAC's Alec Johnson, we'll march to Squaw Creek where some of the worst flooding in Ames history has taken place. What: Connect the Dots May 5th Day of Action When: Saturday, May 5 at 11:45 a.m. Where: Iowa State University Power Plant, Ames, IA 50010 (map). We'll be meeting up close to the power plant and will march to the event together. Why: Because Rep. Steve King is an anti-science climate change denier who is unfit to serve. Please RSVP if you think you can come. An organizer will contact you to let you know exactly where we'll be meeting up before the event. I'll be there and am looking forward to meeting other CREDO Action members. If you want to reach me in advance, my email is alec.johnson@credosuperpac.com.
